My practice at Eugene Center for Depth Psychotherapy focuses on inner work informed by the symbolic expressions of the psyche manifested in dreams, fantasies, interests, and patterns in life history and relationships. My approach is to open and protect an inviting space in therapy for psyche to speak, and to provide an educated, interested and empathetic attention to the healing impulse of psyche, drawing on the strengths and lifespirit of the individual. I also work as a clinical supervisor and treatment coordinator at Center for Family Development in Eugene, where my clinical training focuses on family and system dynamics, attachment and trauma, and sexual behavior issues.

You have the need and the right to spend part of your life caring for your soul. It is not easy. You have to resist the demands of the work-oriented, often defensive, element in your psyche that measures life only in terms of output -- how much you produce -- not in terms of the quality of your life experiences. To be a soulful person means to go against all the pervasive, prove-yourself values of our culture and instead treasure what is unique and internal and valuable in yourself and your own personal evolution. --Jean Shinoda Bolen
